About Me

My name is Maxx Boutin. I’m a 17-year-old from Acushnet, MA. I am a Junior enrolled in Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School as a Computer Science student. I am familiar with a variety of coding languages, including Python, JavaScript, and Java. I’m also proficient in HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language).  In my academic classes, I excelled in History and Chemistry. Some of the awards/certifications I earned include an OSHA certificate, Fit Money certificate, and CPR certification. One of my main hobbies outside of school is weightlifting, which helps my mental and physical health during the rough parts of school.

One of the two colleges I would like to attend after high school is either the University of New Hampshire or the University of Maine. I’m really interested in connection and social interaction, and looking forward to what this program and the college I’ve chosen will provide me with. I plan on majoring in psychology at one of the previous schools to become a psychologist or psychiatrist. As well as looking to take advantage of any internships or research opportunities. And I am specifically interested in the new people I’ll meet.

When I enter the workforce, I would like to work at a mental health center. My goal is to apply the skills (problem-solving, teamwork, and helping people) I’ve gained through Old Colony in college. And I am determined to continue growing as a person in mental health, and I hope to contribute greatly to the psychology field.
