My expectations for high school were that it would be a pretty fun experience, and I had no idea what the outcome would be, since it’s so much different compared to my schools when I was younger. When I was in the 8th grade, my goals were to get into OC and be selected for computer science as my shop. In the 8th grade, I wanted to pursue a career in computer science with the education that I received. High school offered me more opportunities in my career paths, as well as providing me with a great understanding and knowledge of computer science. My thoughts have changed quite a bit regarding my career path and what field to pursue in the future. These thoughts were shaped this way since I wanted to do something else with my life, and I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do when I was that young, choosing my life’s path.
At the start of high school, I was excited to see what it would have in store for me, but I was scared. It was a completely new start had no idea how to feel about it. Finding friends wasn’t very hard since most of the people from my old school had come here. As I spent more time at the school, I became more comfortable and started to build good relationships with my teachers and fellow students, like my shopmates with whom I quickly became friends.
I would say that I have grown so much academically in high school because when I was in middle school I never had the opportunity to be able to take harder classes while in high school many courses can be taken for different subjects and these range from cp to ap courses and I think that taking all honors classes and two ap courses forced me to become more of a hard worker and improved how I now am academically.
I thought that exploratory is nice because it gives you a good look at what the shop will be like, but the one downside is that since you only have so much time in exploratory, you only see the short-term part of the shop, and when you go into something that you think that you may like, you might not end up liking it.
Some of the many activities that I will remember are the labs that we did in biology, environmental science, and physics. They were a very fun experimental part of my high school years that I will fondly remember. I think that high school will shape my future goals because it is a great start to my journey. It will provide me with all of the starting information that I need to learn about what I want to do with my life and where I can start to look for my future career.
Another thing I learned from my high school experience would be to just go with life, never give up, and always try my best, even when I don’t feel like it. One last thing about high school is that it humbled me about how I treat others and how they treat me. I think that high school is a really hard time for a lot of people. It’s a learning experience for everyone, and most of the people in high school are trying new things that they have never encountered. And we are learning how to deal with these things for the first time. I find it very humbling to just go with the flow and not worry as much, and just go with what is happening around you, and everything will fall into place. An experience I had that will help me as I go forward is to finish my work sooner rather than later. I ran into this problem throughout high school, and it has taught me how I should shape the future.
